Beauty In Death
A brief titled "The Portrait, The Drawing & The Photograph" given by The Glasgow School of Art. Tasked to create 50 manipulations of an random image, the image of a refugee and her new born child from the Tuol Sleng Genocide Camp was chosen. The final outcome titled "Beauty In Death" shows the carcass of a bird in a pristine glass bottle, edited to resemble a baby bottle, surrounded by the chosen image. This was to portray the cycle of the life in the death camp - Born as an innocent child with a clean slate yet remains trapped and tortured till death with no freedom in sight.
This project was part of The Glasgow School of Art - 100 Days of GSA "The Dark Horse Show" Showcase.
