Glasgow: Unseen Beauty
A project executed in whilst on the 3 week overseas immersion program to Glasgow, Scotland. It was a project created to document the things which surround us daily yet we fail to notice the beauty in them as we do not take a moment to stop and take in what is around us. The two main focal points on this project were the oil spills and the moss in the cracks of the ground and the rationale behind why this was chosen was because we tend to look down so very often but the thing which we look down upon is our phones which causes us to miss out on everything else amazing. This project photographs the mosses found on the ground in a different light, making them seem lush, green and beautiful whilst the use of simple day-to-day items such as nail polish in water was used to recreate the beauty in oil spills.
This project was done up to be an installation at The Glasgow School of Art 2014 Graduation Showcase in Glasgow, Scotland.
